Solar assets across the industry produce less energy than expected. Hervé Billiet, CEO of Sunvoy, traces part of the problem to how the industry sold solar for years.
He admits it: he sold his first system telling the customer there was no maintenance. He did it long enough to realize that wasn't true. Then he retrained his entire sales team. The new rule: say low maintenance. Never say no maintenance.
His point for the industry: sell more accurately. Budget for maintenance. Use monitoring tools to track performance. The more data you have, the better you adapt.
